Bar Marinas en Pollença

13/08/2024: We went out of our way to try this restaurant given its rating on TA, and made a reservation. Definitely has its pros and con - but overall we were hoping to like it a lot more. The pros: the couple running the restaurant are very sweet. They created a very nice atmosphere. We were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, and she brought us bug spray. Food wise, if you come here, we would recommend the clams and the apple crumble dessert - they were the highlights of our night. The cons: when we had asked for recommendations, they said the menu was small and everything was good. It is a smaller menu than other restaurants, but there were definitely options and it would have been nice to hear what was frequently ordered/ popular. The food took a very long time to arrive (well over an hour) which was surprising given the restaurant was not full. The food was okay, but given the reviews we were expecting better which lead to a little let down. The cod was good, but nothing to write home about. The boa buns were fine, but we have definitely had better. This was also one of our most expensive dinners, and we had water, 2 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 1 main and 1 dessert. It’s off the main strip (not near the sea). We aren’t sure it is worth the trek in the heat.
